Pronunciation course for advanced participants
De Taaltrainer’s pronunciation course is aimed at participants at B2 level or higher. Do you speak (reasonably) fluent and grammatically correct Dutch but with a strong accent? Do you find it frustrating that you sometimes struggle to make yourself understood? Would you like to sound ‘more Dutch’? If so, the pronunciation course for advanced participants is for you. Popular programme components are:
- Understanding how sounds are formed
- The accent in a word
- Sentence stress
- Natural Dutch intonation
- Identifying individual problem sounds and practice/improvement
Levels
The Dutch pronunciation course is given at levels B2, C1 and C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) established by the Council of Europe. Upon completion of the course, participants, provided their attendance, input and progress have been satisfactory, will receive a certificate stating the end level they have achieved.
For a comprehensive description of the CEFR language levels, see ‘language levels’.
